Comprehensive Neuropsychological Evaluation

  • This evaluation is designed to provide an overall picture of a child’s neurocognitive functioning, elicit strengths and weaknesses, provide diagnostic clarification, and give recommendations as to how to help the youth be most successful.

  • This evaluation provides comprehensive information for youth who have or are suspected of having a neurodevelopmental disability, have trouble learning, or who have been affected by a disease, medical condition, or injury.

  • Testing can take between 6 and 8 hours depending on how quickly the youth progresses and the youth’s individual needs. Testing is split between two days.

    The typical areas assessed in this evaluation include cognitive ability or IQ, language skills, nonverbal skills including visuospatial and motor skills, memory functioning, executive functioning skills including attention, inhibition, and problem solving, and academic achievement. Emotional / behavioral functioning is screened for but not assessed for in-depth.

    Because of the comprehensive nature of the evaluation, this evaluation allows for the most specific and detailed recommendations.

    This evaluation does not specifically evaluate for autism spectrum disorder; however, for a fee of $650 the specific diagnostic testing can be added.

  • The fee for this evaluation is $3,850. This fee includes all aspects of the evaluation; the parent interview, record review, in-person testing including youth interview, collateral interviews (1 hour included), rating forms comparing the youth’s behavior to other peers their age, report, and feedback to parent along with possible feedback to the youth.

    Additional services of school observations, consultation with school, etc. can be included for an additional fee.

    Payment is due at the first in-person testing session.
